Lately, there’s nothing I love more than the combo of almond butter and bananas. It’s so decadent and creamy that it tricks my taste buds into thinking I’m indulging in dessert and leaves me less likely to reach into the cookie jar later.

This smoothie not only tastes great but packs a lot of protein that will leave you energized, full, and ready to start your day. Add one of these babies to your morning routine and see if it pumps you up like it does me!

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
  • 1/4 cup almond butter
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 tbsp vegan vanilla protein powder
  • 2 tbsp unsweetened coconut flakes as garnish

Instructions:

1. Combine all ingredients in blender and blend on high for about 2 minutes, or until thoroughly mixed. 

2. Pour and enjoy!
